Holy Toledo! Yesterday was a crazy day in the anna Holy Toledo! Yesterday was a crazy day in the annals of building my bibliography (plus my laptop broke too - zoinks!). Two new contracts confirmed by great presses for two new tattoo books (one of these manuscripts already passed peer review at a great university press - book will be gorgeous)….a third book is already in production in Japan and coming out in Spring (alas, it is in Japanese but I was privileged to write about the amazing work of many of my friends & artists in the tattoo community). The Covid lockdown certainly sucked (!) but it was also pivotal in all this, since the sequestration at home enabled me to find focus and write away for 20 months through the doom and gloom. Looking forward to bringing these new books to you in 2023! Amazing gift arrived today in the mail from my fri Amazing gift arrived today in the mail from my friend Dave Mazierski (Toronto) who is cataloging the collection of the late great tattoo historian, writer, tattoo artist, and illustrator Steve Gilbert (1931-2014).
